In conjunction with my internship at Chicago's British-Consulate General's office, I was able
to attend a Chicago Council on Global Affairs event hosting the former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. Speaking about his recent work with interfaith diplomacy, Blair's talk was riveting and perhaps optimistic to a fault.
My reporter's eyebrow raised by witnessing the cordiality between himself and Mayor Daley, who introduced Blair, and had some wisdom to gain from time with the man who had won an Olympic games for his country.
My writer's hand couldn't sit still all evening.
